This week's reading piece that I chose to do my blog on was the "facebook: editing myself." I chose to write about this reading because I along with more than 1/2 of society find myself addicted to facebook, and I think this reading relates a lot to life today. I liked how the author focused on how so many people are a "different" person on their online accounts. Which as a facebook user I also find to happen very, very often.
I agree with Sethi when she describes the online identity and says that it is constantly changing. You have complete control over what you write and what you dont write online. Who sees it however, you don't. You can change your online identity as many times as you want. You can even pretend to be somebody different than what you really are. A good example of that is the show catfish on MTV. Online idenditys can be both a good and bad, depending on how you look at them.
